Birmingham Hospice is the new name for John Taylor Hospice, in Erdington and Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, in Selly Park. To find out more information about the merged hospices, please read the information here

Now unified under one name, Birmingham Hospice, they care for more people than ever before. Their patients are at the heart of everything they do and have been throughout their combined history. From caring for those in their Inpatient Units, to providing vital day services in their Living Well Centres, and supporting families with personalised bereavement counselling, they take care of the community when they need them most.

  • They care for around 1,000 patients on average every day across their services.
  • Each year, they need to raise £5.5 million through fundraising activity, income from their shops and voluntary donations to cover the costs of running the hospice.
  • Last year, 571 patients were cared for in their Inpatient Units by their expert doctors and nurses.
  • Last year, 1,312 patients attended their Living Well Centres to help them live well with their illness.
  • Last year, their Wellbeing Team made more than 5,000 contacts with people to offer vital pre and post bereavement support to both adults and children connected to the hospice.

How to play

Each entry to the draw costs £1. Our draws are run every week of the year, usually on a Friday. You can either set up a subscription to provide your chosen hospice with a regular and reliable income, every week of the year, or you can play as and when you want to, whatever suits you best!
