Who are Savino’s?

They are a small family run cafe located in the bustling city centre of Cambridge. You will find the best Illy Coffee, Homemade Cakes, Fresh Panino and Pastries Milkshakes Smoothies everything you’d expect and more…

After many years of being slightly behind the times, and as a present to their Dad – Peter Savino – they have finally decided to launch an official website to celebrate their family-run Café www.savinos.co.uk

Where it all started

Their Nonno and Nonna got married in Italy in 1958, but soon moved to England to work as a domestic couple for a wealthy family in Kentford. In 1960, whilst they were expecting their first baby, they moved to Cambridge. Nonno carried on working hard in various jobs until 1967, when he had saved enough money to buy his first ice cream van. Mr. Savino became a widely recognised face of Cambridge, and inspired their Dad to follow in similar footsteps.

Their Dad opened the doors to Savino’s Café bar Italiano on the 7th April 1997. His ambition was to create an authentic Italian experience, in the bustling city centre. At Savino’s, they provide a friendly atmosphere, Barista-made coffee and freshly prepared food, created around traditional Italian combinations.

They would like to thank all of their loyal customers for their continued support, and welcome any new faces to come in and try one of their homemade cakes, warming soups or classic panino.
